I find the usage of the term 'site' to connect (sub)domainnames with applications slightly deceptive when it comes to running two websites from the same Zope instance. The 'site' named 'mydomain' in the demo not only serves (www.)mydomain.com but also (www.)myotherdomain.com as well which seems counterintuitive.

I would suggest to either add another 'site' named 'myotherdomain' connecting the same application 'zope' with the domain (www.)myotherdomain.com; or to avoid the term 'site' and use instead the term 'connection' or 'relation' and give it a value that is not based on the domain but on the back-end application.

This is more an issue of forming 'mental models' so I hope I was able to convey my point to you.

Regards,
Roger

Roger: Point taken. We'll look into changing the terminology ... Maybe "App/domain mapping" would be clearer than "website" ?

Probably;
I'm not sure if this is something specific for Zope, or are there other frameworks where 1 instance is able to serve multiple domains to warrant the trouble? With your suggestion I still find it difficult to come up with an intuitive name value for the 1:n mapping.
Probably it's not so much an issue of terminology when some explicit explanation and an insightful example is given.
Thanks for your helpful tips anyway.

Hi,

Would it be possible to have the video in the .SWF (Small Web Format & Shockwave Flash) format ? How much would it save space compared to .FLV format ?

Is .swf format at a Plone site OK technically posibble at the moment ?

Is your .ogg content embedded in the Plone CMS ?

thanks for feedback in advance
Ronnie

I'm really not sure.

It looks like it is:

No, this blog doesn't use Plone. :)

Does your hosting support Zope3 as well?

Friendly greetings!

RR Nederhoed: Zope 3 isn't available in the control panel yet but you could install it yourself.
