BIG holiday present !

Well, here comes our BIG holiday present to everyone:

We've added one long-running process and 40MB of RAM to all plans !

This means that Rails, Django and TurboGears hosting is now available on our "Shared 1" plan, starting at $7.50/month. Zope is now available on our "Shared 2" plan and Plone on our "Shared 3" plan.

But that's not it: we've doubled the diskspace and quadrupled the bandwidth included in each plan !

Also, a private IP address is now only $5/month and an extra 40MB of RAM is only $7/month.

Happy holidays everyone :)

Remi.

Really a great news for every Django/Rails developer.

As for Django, I think you could tag this entry with the "django" label and add your blog to djangoproject.com/community. I know many people desperately looking for cheap and reliable Django hosting these days.

Thanks and happy holidays.

Thanks Remi! ShowMeDo is still well-within the limits of the old Shared 3 plan, but it is great to know that we have more room if we need it.
Your Python and TurboGears hosting works fantastically, thanks for all your quick replies helping me out with site-admin - it has been much appreciated.
Have a great Christmas,
Ian.

:)

Please don't turn into another 1&1, DreamHost, Site5, or the like.

Don't worry, we're not going to start putting hundreds of people per server and overselling diskspace and bandwidth like crazy :-P

We've done our maths carefully and we've only upgraded our plans because we're confident that we'll still be able to keep the same quality of service with the new plans/prices.

Remi.

I've just downloaded the Django screencast: your admin interface is very clean and informative. How did you build it? Django, Rails? Who is the designer?

That's absolutely fantastic! Thanks so much!

Markus: The control panel is developed using CherryPy, perhaps this has something to do with it?

Hey,

will current customers be affected by upgrade as well?

Kind regards,
Mario

Remi said on 2006-12-26 06:51:22:
Mario: Of course, the upgrade also applies to all existing customers.

Cheers,

Remi.

Thank you! Plone and Django never had it so good!

I was looking at my service features via the control panel and noticed that Long Running Processes said "2" instead of "1"... I thought for a second I had gone mad!

Thanks for the present, and keep up the awesome work!
